BACON-AI/Workshops/Eifel Retreat

BACON-AI

Two-night creative immersion · May–October

Brainstorming in the Eifel.

A small-group BACON-AI workshop at WaldBachHouse — at the edge of the Eifel forest. Laptops and flipcharts in the morning, mountain biking before lunch, picnics by the stream, painting in the garden, deep methodology by the fire.

In session A morning at WaldBachHouse — six participants, mixed activity, the BACON-AI banner above the screen, Eifel forest through the windows.

01 · The setting

A half-timbered house on the forest's edge.

WaldBachHouse — slate roof, exposed beams, stone path winding through wildflower garden, beech and oak forest at the back, a cold clear stream at the bottom of the garden. Bedrooms for eight, communal kitchen, two flipchart studios, a fire-pit terrace.

Less than ninety minutes from Cologne airport.

03 · Your day

One creative loop. Repeated across the weekend.

Morning brainstorm — an active interlude (you choose) — slow lunch — deep-dive workshop — evening creative session.

Pinch / scroll to zoom · drag to pan · rendered with bpmn-js v17.

04 · Three slow somethings

Active. Slow. Creative.

Mountain biking through the Eifel forest
Mid-morning

Mountain biking.

Single-track through old-growth beech forest with our local guide. Bike, helmet, water. Easy nature walk for non-bikers.

Picnic by the stream
Lunch

A picnic by the stream.

Linen-draped table at the bottom of the garden. Sourdough, charcuterie, cheese, riesling. The stream rushing beside you.

Creative painting in the garden
Afternoon

Creative painting.

Open-air easels, big canvases, professional paints, no rules. Unconstrained mark-making to unstick the analytical mind.

05 · Other little surprises

Things you'll only notice once you're here.

  1. Contemporary BACON-AI digital prints on every workshop wall, commissioned for the retreat — copper, teal, forest green on cream paper.
  2. Hidden voice-prompt installations in the garden — speak a question aloud, hear a Claude reflection back.
  3. A "next-step" sealed envelope handed out at dinner; opened a week later.
  4. Evening fire-pit with woodsmoke whisky and impromptu wax-resist art on slate.
  5. Sauna under the stars after the painting session, if you want it.

06 · What you take away

Three things, one weekend.

Mindset.

The BACON-AI 9-phase methodology applied to your real challenge — not a case study.

Artefacts.

A populated process map (BPMN), a brainstorm wall photographed and digitised, a painting.

Connections.

Six other people who now know how you think, and a BACON-AI mentor on call for thirty days after.

07 · Frequent questions

Before you ask.

Where exactly is the house?

WaldBachHouse, in the Eifel National Park, Germany. Exact coordinates after registration; about 90 minutes' drive from CGN airport. Train + pickup also available.

What if I don't want to mountain-bike?

There's a guided nature walk on the same loop, slower pace, stopping at the boundary of the old-growth section. Same lunch destination by the stream.

Dietary restrictions?

Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies — covered. Tell us at registration; Sandra (catering) builds the menu around the group.

Mobility access?

One ground-floor bedroom; bathrooms accessible. The garden path to the stream is uneven — please ask if access is critical.

Do I need to bring my laptop?

Yes. We'll work AI-training scenarios live in sessions and pair on real tools. Wi-Fi throughout the house.

Solo or with a partner?

Both. Six to eight working participants per retreat — partners welcome to share a room and join the meals + activities.

Wood-fired, two slots most evenings. Optional. Swimsuits in the wash room if you forget yours.
